Tsurphu to Yangpachen Trek
Overview
Unique Adventure International recommends Tsurphu to Yangpachen trek to the trekkers who love to get a close contact with the nomads and their semi-nomadic lifestyle. This trek starts at Tsurphu and runs along the rugged route, passes several alpine valleys and emerges into broad and windswept Yangpachen valley. A trekker has opportunity to experience the combination of tundra and sweeping mountain panoramas followed by culture’s taste in monasteries and a nunnery. In actual sense this is the trip of proper balance between cultural visits and wilderness activities.
Overlooking a broad sweep of trans-Himalaya peaks, the trip concludes at Yangpachen Monastery on top of hillock at the left of road to Shigatse.
