Walk the trail once walked by His Royal Highness Prince Charles. His highness along with his visiting members trekked this trail which consists of numerous Gurung Villages back in 80’s. Annapurna Royal Trek is the most comfortable trekking route of Annapurna region which starts from Pokhara Valley and ends at Begnas Lake. The trail is characterized by village of British Gurkha Soldiers, green lush forests and sight of Begnas Rupa Lake. Unique Adventure International sent some travel planners to study the current situation of the route during off season. After the increasing trend of having various hilly roads without proper planning has really hampered the walking route of Nepal. Therefore, we sent our travel planners. They found that the trail consists of motor able road but still has authentic rural charm.
Annapurna Royal Trek starts at Thunsikot in outskirts of Pokhara. The trail traverses through villages of Chisapani and Saglung. It is believed that Prince Charles trekked this route in order to observe the living conditions of ex Gurkha Soldiers and World War Veterans who fought under British Government. During his visit according to locals our travel planners found that Prince Charles was hypnotized by the sight of Rupa Lake and Begnas Lake from the top of hill. Prince was seen startled and astounded. Later during his another visit he enquired about the development of area. This really make this trail very sumptuous and one to walk if you are seeking for comfortable walking holiday in Nepal. Mountains like Annapurna, Lamjung, Machhapuchhre and many others are seen. Diversified forests environment and lakes make it an awe inspiring journey of lifetime.
