Kwangde Peak Climbing (6011m)

  • Kwangde Peak Climbing (6011m)

Overview

Kwangde Trekking Peak also known as Kwangde Ri or Konde Ri is demanding enough to climb. It consists of an inspiring multi-peak ridge on the East end of Lumding Himal which actually is a fraction of Rolwaling Himal. The peak towers over the Bhotekoshi River and lays south-east of Namche Bazaar. The North part of the Kwangde forms a notable barrier having a number of steep crests to the north.

Also, located in the Lumding Drangka in a elevated and remote valley, the peak is bordered to the west by plummeting glaciers of Karyolung, Numbur, Khartang at an altitude of 6,187m, which it is hardly ever visited by the mountaineers. Particularly the routes on the North Face are challenging and reflect latest developments in minor Himalayan climbing, with a stress on technical complexity and a high scale of assurance. The first climb of Kwangde peak was done by a Japanese Team in 1978.

We Unique Adventure design the 17-days Kwangde Trekking Peak (6011m.) which will mesmerize you with the most fascinating side - panoramic vistas of Mt. Everest, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Nuptse, Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Baruntse, Tashi Peak, Thamserku, Kusum Kangru; exploring Thame village and Namche Bazaar and several more. We recommend you to make a visit during the seasons of spring and autumn to make the trek more memorable since it’s the best season to go for Kwangde Trekking Peak.
