Overview

Chulu Far East (6059m.) lets us enjoy the wonderful panorama taking on the range of Annapurna Himalayan. Chulu Far East peak overlooks from north of the Marshyangdi Khola in the Manang region and form part of the Manang Himal. This far-off highland area is set to the north and in a rain shade created by the central part Annapurna Himal. Prior to mountaineering Chulu Far East peak, going behind the lane of the standard Annapurna Circuit, we carry on to organize a high camp to the south-west periphery of Chulu Far East and we climb through trouble-free snow-slopes. We will ascend downhill to Manang which is almost bottomless crevice of the Marsyangdi Valley, and then we walk to Jomsom all the way through the eye-catching Tilicho Lake.

We begin biking tour from Besisahar in the lush middle hills, all the way through the path until we enter Yak Kharka (4000m.). From here the track is vertical up to the base camp of Chulu East. And then we follow the route climbing to the summit of Chulu Far East which is pebbly, icy and very much vertical. From the top of Chulu Far East we will witness the enormous views of Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Chulu West, Pisang Peak, the north part of Himlung Valley. After mountaineering we move towards Manang and after that next morning we have a bike ride to Thorong La Pass (5416m.) and continue riding passing all the way through a holy temple - Muktinath and reach Jomsom for exploring around.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Meeting upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, transfer to hotel.

As soon as you arrive, you will be welcomed by our representative of Unique Adventure at Kathmandu International Airport but reassure about our representative with a display board at the arrival gate. You will be then taken to the hotel where you can either relax in the afternoon or hang around. You will have a dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant where we take pleasure in a Nepalese cultural program as well. We will be staying in a hotel for overnight.

Day 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, overnight at hotel

After having breakfast in the morning, our sightseeing trip will begin. The Swayambhunath (the Monkey temple), Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath; Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square are the main sightseeing attractions in Kathmandu valley which are rich in art and architecture. Later in the afternoon, we will have a final preparations and short briefing for the trek. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Transfer to Besisahar (823m.)

We head off from Kathmandu, early in the morning and drive to Besisahar. The road moves by the side of the Trisuli Valley. We get magnificent views of the peaks, mainly the Manaslu and Ganesh Himal as we go behind the river to Mugling. We then move away from the main road to reach Besisahar path where we start our trek. Overnight in Besisahar.

Day 04 - 12 : Mountain Biking to Bahundanda to Chulu Far East Base Camp.

This is the beginning of our biking and climbing adventure. You will be following Marshyandi River Valley crossing through several villages i.e. Bahundanda, Jagat, Dharapani, Chame, Pisang and Ngawal. Reaching at base camp we start preapring climbing Chulu Far East as part of snow climbing journey.

Day 13 : Acclimatization and preparation

We have a day off today for proper acclimatization at a high altitude. This also lets us to prepare and arrange our trekking gear. Overnight at tented camp in Chulu East base camp.

Day 14 : Trek to Chulu Far East High Camp

We today ascend to the high camp and the track up to the high camp follows snow slopes. As we continue climbing, more than a few peaks come to our view on the way. And reaching to the Chulu Far East High Camp offers us a sentiment of getting to the top of the world. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 15 : Summit Chulu Far East and return to base camp

After we mount to the summit of Chulu Far East and feel the glory of victory, we will descend all along the vertical slopes to the high camp today. After relaxing for some time, we retrace back to the base camp. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 16 - 17 : Mountain Biking to Thorung Phedi.

After successful attempt of Chulu Far East we continue our riding follwong the track to Thorong La Pass crossing beautiful Braga, Manang and Tenki villages. The views of Annapurna Panorama are just breathtaking during the ride. 

Day 18 : Crossing Thorong La Pass and biking to Muktinath

After passing the well-known pass at Thorang la pass, we take a bike ride to Muktinath. This is one of the most noteworthy holy sites for Hindus. Sanctified water flows from the 108 taps nearby the Vishnu temple. Muktinath is also home to many tribal Tibetans and Buddhists, who visit the temple. You can also see fire eternally burning by natural gas underground. Overnight at guest house in Muktinath.

Day 19 : Mountain biking to Jomsom

We continue ride down to Jomsom follwoing the wide Kaligandaki riverside. Fully downhill adventure can be experienced during the ride today. 

Day 20 : Fly to Pokhara and to Kathmandu

We fly from Jomsom to Pokhara, taking around 20 minutes. The major attractions of Pokhara are natural as well as cultural sites such as lakes, temples of Hindus and Buddhist, caves, mountain views. You can view the north region across the hill, Phewa lake to thesnow peaks of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 21 : Free day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel

Leaving behind the wonderful countryside, we travel for 6 hours we return back to Kathmandu. We can either take a vehicle for a drive or fly back from the beautiful city Pokhara. On arrival at Kathmandu you will be shifted to the hotel. You can then relax for rest of the day and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 22 : Transfer to airport, departure onward destination

This is your last day of your Chulu West Trekking Peak (6419m.). Our airport representative will drop you to the airport and you will depart from Nepal.
