Dhaulagiri Trek
Dhaulagiri region is popular as an adventurous trekking destination in Nepal. Trekking beyond the normal trail is not easy. If you are an adventure lover, the trek to this area could be immensely rewarding. Geographically, large area of Dhaulagiri region is steep with snow-caped Himalayan peaks. Mt. Dhaulagiri I is the sixth highest peak of Nepal and world’s seventh. The peak is high above the popular religious and trekking site -- Muktinath. The vast area screens the hidden river up stream, ferns and Oak forest and other deciduous trees and juniper forest. The rhododendron forest and many species of flowers are abundantly found thoughout the trail. Tiny alpine flowers are found dotting the windswept ground even in the high mountain passes above the tree line.
