The trek to Kharta known as Khangsung Valley in Tibet is a trek to explore Himalayan Grandeur. A walk of its own significance provides you a challenging view of whitened peaks. The trek to Kharta comprises steep landscapes, valleys and lakes —glacial lakes. The valley of Khangsung is a place to allure the trekkers with its grassland and an enchanting bosom of flowers. The trek to Kharta in summer provides an outstanding view of greenery. The Khangsung Valley trek is lead through the Langma La Pass at an altitude of 5320m—the highest pass on the way. The high elevation of all peaks on the way in its full capturing motion is only and alone the Mt. Makalu.

To explore this trek, we drive to Nyalam from the border of Nepal and Tibet. The next day we drive to Kharta. Our real trek begins from here. We begin our trek from Kharta in a way like the one a white crane looks at the time to pounce upon its prey. After an interval of our driving, we lead our trek to Lundrubling and the Kaamo Tsangpo Valley through Shao La. Further we lead the way to Khangsung Valley the next day and Pethang Ringmo. Our trekking comprises Hoppo, Kangshung base camp and then the base of Langma La. After all, we return to our destination Lundrubling through Langma. The next day we trek to Kharta and finally drive to Rongbuk Everest Base Camp.

Unique Adventure International always efforts to operate the itinerary as per the negotiation made. Not always, but extreme adventure activities being operated in remote mountain regions, bears high risk and needs to be flexible. One paramount issue for trekking companies in Nepal are employees directly connected to guests when trekking in the Himalayas and this is key to any trip conducted anywhere on the Himalayas. Our staffs in general receive fixed monthly salaries and our trekking crews get special rates as defined by the Ministry of Labour in consultation with the Ministry of Tourism - Government of Nepal.

This also includes the provision of Social Security for mountain workers as per government directives. In addition to this, we also provide climbing training to new comers listed on our payroll. All our seasoned guides are well trained in the use and application of First Aid in the event of any unexpected injuries that may occur in the course of the journey when at altitude.

Field Employees are constantly upgraded for personal development, delivered via courses in English, about nature, history, and ongoing training as mountain guides with techniques based on safety precautions...along with this, our mountain crews are insured and covered against any eventualities. We’ve been through it all – the ups and downs have been full and plenty. The series of earthquakes of 2015 affected us bitterly; however, we kept the faith.
