Overview

Lobuche Peak actually includes two different summits, East (6119m.) and West (6145m.). An uninterrupted edge links them but there is a significant distance between these two peaks. The east is identified as a trekking peak while the west is regarded as an expedition. The Lobuche East Peak has been first climbed by Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa in 1984.

Lobuche East Peak, an eye-catching trekking peak offers a range of existing routes as well as new ones. The gloomy triangle of its rocky east part sets down to the moraines of Khumbu Glaciers to a pleasing skyline, making the south face. Lobuche East is ascended by moving down a marked notch and walking up steeply from snowy slopes to the top. Most of the times, the peak is ascended on the peak ridge only as far as a secondary snow high point, south-east of the right peak. The peak is also referred as the false peak.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Meeting upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, transfers to hotel.

Soon after we land at Kathmandu International Airport, we meet our Nepali representatives who will clarify us about the tour. After the short description by our representatives, we are sent to our Hotels where we will be staying overnight.

Day 02 : Stay in Kathmandu for the official procedure and sightseeing, overnight at hotel.

Today you travel around Kathmandu valley which comprises visit around historical and saintly attractions; including Durbar Square, Boudhanath; one of the major stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath; top on the hill in the city knows as the Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath; Hindus holy place. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Fly to Lukla (2,834 m.) and start trek to Phakding, overnight at guesthouse.

We take a charming flight from Kathmandu early in the morning to Lukla (2827m.), we fly for 40 minutes. Arriving at Lukla, in the afternoon, we start our stroll by moving down to the Dudh Koshi River and take the key track to Namche Bazaar, located just over Chaunrikharka (2713m.). The path is trouble-free and after coming across the tiny village of Ghat(2550m.) we make a small hike to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Day 04 : Trek to Namche Bazaar, overnight at guesthouse.

Today we trek for 4 hours from Phakding, we move ahead with a slight climb to Jorsale we get ahead of a waterfall. Now, the path villages are fused with amazing forest of rhododendron, vast firs and magnolia trees. Subsequently, we hike to Namche coming across few bridges and then go up quite a few hundred meters, a vertical dive and another steeper climb through the forest. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 05 : Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar, overnight at guesthouse.

We have a rest day today to become familiar at a elevated height in Namche Bazar. Namche is a accepted village positioned in a great sheltered hollow. On top of the village, there lies the national park headquarters where one can take the chance to view both the gripping sunrise and sunset views. The amazing panorama includes excellent scenery of the Khumbu peaks and impressive views of Everest. After breakfast, optionally, we can either go for a hike towards Thami (3810m.) over the eye-catching Bhote Khola River Valley or go to the national park headquarters to view the exclusive Sherpa lifestyle and mores.

Day 07 : Trek to Tengboche, overnight at guesthouse.

Today, we move downward through the area from Khumjung and halt for coffee and cake at the local bakery. We do this before we move toward the major track to Everest at Shanasa. Along our way, we can gaze upon the Danphe Pheasant and Himalayan Thar. After that, we keep continuing our track to Trashinga and then go down to cross the Dudh Kosi at Phunkitenga (3250m.) where will be stopping by for our lunch. In the daylight, we make a broad climb through fir, black juniper, pine and Rhododendron forest towards Thyangboche Monastery. Not only the usual scenario but we can also get a glance of different other peaks and many more. We will be staying overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 08 : Trek to Dingboche, overnight at guesthouse.

Today, we visit the monastery ahead of moving down through forest of birch, juniper, fir and rhododendron till we reach Debuche. Then we have only steady climbs, but because of the elevation we require to increase our swiftness gradually. After going across the Imja Khola, the path moves further to the village of Pangboche. Here we can see the striking peak of Ama Dablam. In the afternoon, our path climbs through open alpine hills before crossing the Imja Khola again and reach to our guest house in the settlement of Dingboche.

Day 09 : Rest in Dingboche for acclimatization, overnight at guesthouse.

We have a day rest for getting familiar with the environment at the high elevation. Dingboche is located in a mishmash of tiny ground surrounded by stone walls protecting crops of potatoes and barley. Also, we can go around to observe the natural beauty in Dingboche. Overnight at guest house.

Day 10 : Trek to Lobuche, overnight at guesthouse.

Keep on trekking along the moraine of the glacier with the views of Kala Patthar (5,545m.) and Mt. Pumori (7,165m.) we hike today high above the Pheriche village. Pretty normal day today takes about 4 hours walking to reach Lobuche. Rest of the day we may take simple hike around.

Day 11 : Trek to Lobuche Base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

From Lobuche, today we will trek toward the Lobuche Base Camp. After trekking some distance on moderately flatter plane, the trail to the Lobuche Base Camp gets more vertical and rocky. We will walk ahead along the Lobuche Glacier where we can enjoy the grand views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pokalde, Thamserku etc.

Day 12 : Stay in Lobuche Base Camp for climbing preparation, overnight at tented camp.

Today, we stay at Lobuche Base Camp for properly acclimatize with the environment. Also, we make preparations for the next day climb to Lobuche high Camp. Overnight at tented camp at Lobuche Base Camp.

Day 13 : Ascent to Lobuche High Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Today, after breakfast we move from Lobuche Base Camp to reach at the Lobuche High Camp which takes around 4 hours. The High camp is situated at 5,600m. From the base camp, we trek on a rocky moraine trail to arrive at the high camp. After we reach at the high camp, we install our camp. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 14 : Summit Lobuche East and back to base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Today is our cherished day for the summit. We start early in the morning for the summit endeavor. Lobuche east offers more panoramic views of the mountains those other popular peaks such as Island Peak. Once upon the Lobuche summit, you would enjoy magnificently panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and many more. We spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures, then we get back to the Base Camp again.

Day 15 : Extra day to summit in case of bad weather, overnight at tented camp.

.We has set aside a day at the base camp just not to mess up our schedule because of bad day weather. Overnight again at tented camp.

Day 16 : Trek to Tengboche, overnight at guesthouse.

Our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters.

Day 17 : Trek to Namche Bazaar, overnight at guesthouse.

The path will go down relatively steeply as we walk back down to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at guest house in Namche Bazaar.

Day 18 : Trek to Lukla, overnight at guesthouse.

After having our breakfast, go back over the major road down to Dhudh Koshi retracing to Phakding. Following the track, we arrive at Lukla scaling different Sherpa villages crossing a suspension bridge above Thado Koshi. For about 45 minutes, we go up to accomplish the whole trail and we reconfirm flight ticket and see off to local porters.

Day 19 : Fly back to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

After travelling for 35 minutes, we fly Back to Kathmandu from Lukla in the morning and move back to the hotel. Rest of the day we can lighten up.

Day 20 : Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

Today is our rest day in Kathmandu. It is up to us finalize; either we stay at the hotel and loosen up or go out by yourself and do shopping or similar.

Day 21 : Transfer to airport, departure onward destination.

After all the procedures at the airport, we will be departed to our respective destination.
