Overview

Mount Kailash (6740m) is the spiritual centre for the four great religions: Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, the Jain religion and the pre-Buddhist animistic religion – Bonpo.  Kailash is wholly situated within Tibet to the north of the Himalayan barrier. Four major rivers:  the Indus, the Bramhmaputra, the Karnali and the Sutlej originate near Kailash.
Lake Manasarovar, also known as Mpham Yumco – the Unconquerable lake is the highest freshwater lake in the world and is sacred to Hindus and Buddhists.
Every year thousands of pilgrims visit Kailash from around the world. Increasing numbers of travelers in addition to pilgrimage are visiting this place after state government of China opened the region for foreign visitor in 1978AD.


Unique Adventure International has designed this tour package to start motorcycle Safari to Kailash Manasarovar from the street of Lhasa. Initial part of this tour goes through the metalled highway that follows unpaved road in the next phase till Lake Manasarovar.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Arrive at Gongkar Airport and tansfer to hotel in Lhasa.

Day 02: Ride around Lhasa city. Guided sightseeing to Potala Palace and other places of interest, Overnight at hotel..

Day 03: Ride Lhasa to Shigatse.

Today you will ride approximately - 250 Kms throught the metalled highway. In the evening visit the famous monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Ride to Lhatze and Kaika

Riding form Lhatse to Kaika you will have to cover approximate distance of  260 kms. En route you will cross Tra La (4050m) followed by Yulung La (4950m). Overnight at camp.

Day 05: Ride Kaika to Saga

oday you will have to cover the distance of about 260 Kms crossing through the ancient settlements and beautiful surroundings. Overnight at camp.

Day 06: Ride Saga to Paryang

From Saga you have to travel approx. distance of 252 km to reach Paryang. Windswept territory, villages and Yak herders fascinates your views alongside the road to Paryang. Overnight at camp.

Day 07: Ride Paryang to Darchen.

Road from Paryang to Darchen goes through open territory with a view of distant mountains. This day your journey passes through a high pass of over 5000m and arrives at Darchen (4,480 m). Darchen is small village with couple of guesthouses that lies just beneath the majestic holy Mount Kailash. Overnight at camp.

Day 08: Ride Darchen to Mansarovar Lake –

Today you will have a short ride just about 35 km. For the night we will set camps at the shore of the Lake Manasarovar.

Day 09: Mansarovar - Paryang

This day we will ride back to Paryang and stay at camp for the night.

Day 10: Paryang to Saga

Retracing the same unpaved road we will stay at the camp of Saga for the night.

Day 11: Ride Saga to Nyalam–

The initial phase of today’s ride goes in the flat and travels across Paiku Tso and other small lake beds. Then downhill section starts from the Lablung La Pass (5050m). Covering approx. distance of 300 km you will rest at the lodge of Nyalam for the night.

Day 12: Nyalam to Nagarkot

Nyalam to Zhangmu is the downhill ride for about 40 km. As the road descends greenery starts. Completing the immigration process at the border between China and Nepal (Kodari) we follow a serpentine road to Nagarkot. Todays’ ride covers almost the distance of 200km.

Day 13: Ride Nagarkote to Kathmandu

This is the leisure day. You will enjoy sightseeing around the cities of Kathmandu Valley and shopping at Thamel in the evening.

Day 14: Transfer to International airport and final departure to your own destination.
