Overview

Paldor Peak (5896m.) located at the south-east ending point of the Ganesh Himal and northwest of Kathmandu indicates the intersection point of the Tiru and Karpu Dandas at the top of the Mailung River, one of the divisions of the Trishuli-Gandaki River. Set in an out-of-the-way region, Paldor peak bestows an eye-catching trekking way for its climbers.

Paldor Trekking Peak is one of the idyllic and well-liked trekking paths in Ganesh Himal region. The area offers you an arresting serene lakes, immense Himalayan settings, stunning waterfalls and productive farming terraces. You will also come across the tradition and lifestyle of the local Tamang and Gurung people. As you arrive at the summit of Paldor peak, a wonderful and expanded view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) set in the Annapurna range to the mountains of the Khumbu region including the Mt. Shishapangma mesmerizes you. The major fascinations of the trek are - the terrific views of Ganesh Himal, Annapurna ranges, Manaslu, tranquil lakes, wonderful waterfall, exploring the culture of Tamang people, vast Himalayan landscapes and more.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu; transfer to the Hotel

As soon as you arrive, you will be welcomed by our representative of Unique Adventure at Kathmandu International Airport but reassure about our representative with a display board at the arrival gate. You will be then taken to the hotel where you can either relax in the afternoon or hang around. You will have a dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant where we take pleasure in a Nepalese cultural program as well. We will be staying in a hotel for overnight.

 

Day 02 : Stay in Kathmandu for the official procedure

After having breakfast in the morning, optionally we can go for sightseeing tour. The Swayambhunath (the Monkey temple), Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath; Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square are the main sightseeing attractions in Kathmandu valley which are rich in art and architecture. Or we will have a final preparations, official procedure and short briefing for the trek. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Drive to Syabrubesi; course starting point

In the early hours, we catch a local bus or a private four wheeler jeep from Kathmandu to arrive at Shyabru Besi which is the access to Langtang valley, meeting Bhote Kosi and Langtang River. Passing through Trishuli Bazaar, Dhunche Bazaar and Ramche Gaon, makes our drive the most gripping charming drive ever. Although, the road is narrow and curved, we can view an astounding landscape all along the way.

Day 04 - 05 : Trek to Paldor base camp

We today trek to Paldor Base Camp and the path has way up along the unsteady glacier. While ascending, we can enjoy the scenes of Paldor and rocky hills around us.

Day 06 - 12 : Climbing period

From Paldor Base Camp we ascend to High camp which takes around 5 hours. The path moves all the way through rocky glacier. The vistas of Paldor West and Paldor East totally arrest you. Besides you can take pleasure from the views of rocky hills and lush hills around you. Also, we will trek to the summit of Paldor Peak (5,896m.) and return back to Paldor Base Camp which takes around 9 hours. At the peak of Paldor you will be astounded by the attention-grabbing views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Shisapangma, Ganesh I, II, III, Manaslu and several others. We also have acclimatization days for rest in order to cope up with the atmosphere of the high altitude.

Day 13 - 18 : Trek back to Trisuli

Day 19 : Drive back to Kathmandu

We today return back driving from Trishuli to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu you will be shifted to the hotel. You can then relax for rest of the day and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 20 : Rest at Kathmandu valley

We can go around Kathmandu valley, if some important places have been missed according to your choices. After the hectic schedules of trek, today you can either go for shopping or have a day rest before departing from Nepal.

Day 21 : Departure on your own destination

This is your last day of your Paldor Trekking Peak. Our airport representative will drop you to the airport and you will depart from Nepal.
