Overview

Jomsom trek is a famous pilgrimage trek in the Annapurna Region. An explorer can travel around various settings and observe culture and the lifestyle of rural people in Nepal. The trail goes after the old trade route from India to Tibet over the Kali Gandaki valley which commences from the road head near Pokhara and eventually reaches the pilgrimage site of Muktinath where you will view the actions of several Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Similarly, Jomsom trek will let you observe stunning peak views of Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (7041m.) and Annapurna mountain range.

This combination of stunning mountain peaks, lush vegetation and meeting with different tribal people will make your trek to Jomsom an extraordinary one. The Jomsom Trek is a classic tea-house trek which offers you comfortable accommodation along with unforgettable trekking experience.

You will see the renowned temple of Lord Muktinath lying in the district of Mustang and is located about 18km northeast of Jomsom (3,802m.). It is temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and you will also see 108 water taps pouring sacred water. And, visiting Jwala Mai temple nearby contains a spring and an eternal flame fed by natural gas.
