Tilicho Lake Trek

Tilicho Lake is situated at an altitude of 4919m, attached with scenic Manang valley, Annapurna and Thorong Peak. Tilicho is not a prohibited area but virtue of its remoteness and altitude, few tourists takes off the popular Annapurna circuit to hike up to the lake in Annapurna Region. The most popular trail Annapurna circuit attaches the area. The rugged and picturesque trails shows you crystal-clear lake Tilicho, dotted wild flowers, close and superb giant Himalayan panorama.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel

Day 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, Hotel

Day 03 : Flight to Humde, and start trek to Pisang, O/N at lodge

Day 04 : Trek to Ngawal, O/N at lodge

Day 05 : Rest in Manang Village, O/N at lodge

Day 06 : Trek to Khangsar, O/N at lodge

Day 07 : Trek to Tilicho Base Camp, O/N at lodge

Day 08 : Trek to Tilicho, O/N at lodge

Day 09 : Trek to Braga, O/N at lodge

Day 10 : Trek to Hunde, O/N at lodge

Day 11 : Flight to Kathmandu, Hotel

Day 12 : Transfer to airport, departure on your own destination

The price covers the following services

• Hotel accomodation at Kathmandu with breakfast plan as per the programme.

• Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) with hot beverage and snacks whilst on trekking.

• Tented Camp accommodation during the trekking period.

• Annapurna Conservation Area permit and Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) fees.

Along with my 20-year old son Ales and 17-year old daughter Zuzana I was looking for a trek which would by suitable in July 2007. Unfortunately this the only time when I can take my free time in its full length of three weeks. Just like most of people I wasn't sure about the weather because of the summer monsoon.
The agency gave me enough information so we had chosen a 14-day long trek to Tilicho Lake and Mesokanta pass. Ales and Zuzana are both in good physical shape and the difficulty of the trek was just fine for us. Also in case anything went wrong there was a team of a guide and porters that could eventually help us. For me as a father this assurance was very important even though we didn't need to use it. The service provided by the whole team was great and we really enjoyed our time in Nepal. We can and want to recommend it.
