Nepal Bird Watching tour

Nepal is home to several species of endangered wildlife and Aves. Besides its fame, as Trekkers’ paradise, Nepal has got recognition as a hot spot for bird watchers. Nepal only houses more than 848 species of birds. It is 8% of total birds recognized around the world.
Government of Nepal has set different conservation area and National Parks to preserve its flora and fauna including several rare species of plant and animals.

 
Birds of Kathmandu Valley
Recently the government of Nepal has announced Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife reserve as a separate National Park which will cover the surrounding hills of Kathmandu valley. As per the record over 500 birds species have been spotted over the valley. Since it offers varied ecology comprising primary to secondary forest along with wetlands suitable for many species of birds.  The popular bird watching spots of Kathmandu valley are Shivapuri forest, Suryabinayak forest, Phulchoki hill, bank of Manohara river and Taudaha area. ........{Detail}
Birdwatching in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
Koshi Tappu Wildlife reserve quite far from capital city lies on the flood plains of Sapt Koshi. It is in the flat region--Terai of Nepal covering an area of 175 sq. km. The area is beautiful and charming aquatic environment enclosed within the high embankment of of Koshi Barrage.
The reserve is an important habitation for a diverse of wildlife, specially the water birds including several migratory species like Sarus Crane coming from Siberia..
