Lobuche East Peak(6119m)(Short itinerary)

Lobuche consists of two different summits, east and west with the height of 6119m and 6145m respectively. A continuous rim ties them but there is a sharp gap and a considerable distance between these two summits. The east is recognized as a trekking peak whereas the west is identified as an Expedition. The first scaled to the Lobuche east peak by Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa on 25th April 1984. The peak being an attractive offers various existing routes and also a probability of new ones. The dark triangle of its rocky east face rises down the moraines of Khumbu Glaciers to a pleasant skyline, forming the south face. Lobuche East is reached by descending a marked notch and climbing steep snowy slopes to the top. On most occasions, the peak is climbed on the summit ridge only as far as a subsidiary snow summit, south-east of the true peak and before the notch. The peak is known as the false peak.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Meet our Staffs at Lobuche, Overnight at Guest house

Day 02 : Arrive Lobuche Base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Day 03 : Stay in Lobuche Base Camp for climbing preparation, overnight at tented camp.

Day 04 : Ascent to Lobuche High Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Day 05 : Summit Lobuche East and back to base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Day 06 : Extra day to summit in case of bad weather, overnight at tented camp.

Day 07 : Back to basecamp, overnight at Tented camp

Day 08 : Back to Lobuche, Overnight at Guest house.

The price covers the following services

• Three meals in a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) with hot beverage and snacks whilst on trekking and climbing period (chukung to chukung)

• Cosy guesthouse & tented camp accommodation whilst on trekking climbing period (chukung to chukung)

• Sagarmatha Naitonal Park entry and trekking peak royalty fees.

• All necessary staff with an experienced fluent English speaking trekking and expedition guide trained and licenced by Nepal Mountainering Association (NMA), cook and assistant expedition guide.

• Highly experienced trekking porters to carry luggage (1porter per 2 trekkers).

• Staff food, accommodation, clothing, salary & insurance.

• All governmental paperworks and procedures.

• All government and local taxes.

The price does not cover the following services

• Visa fee for Nepal.

• International airfares, extra baggage and cargo charges

• Meals and extra night (more than stated in itinerary) accomodation in Kathmandu.
