Overview

Langsisa Ri Climbing Peak (6427m.), a famous trekking peak lying in the Langtang region in Nepal. Langtang region is also identified as "the valley of glaciers trek" which is set only 19 miles north of Kathmandu Valley and it allows you to sight the gigantic snow covered mountains and striking glaciers. The whole valley is conquered by Mount Langtang Lirung which lies at an elevation of 7246m. Particularly, Langsisa Ri Trekking Peak is technically demanding so anyone keen to climb the peak must have a good peak climbing skill and experience. The peak is for those who truly like to have adventurous journey using their experience with climbing equipments like rope, ice-axe etc.

Langtang Ri Trekking Peak takes you alongside the Langtang River and you can also discover traditional Tamang culture on the way. Also, you will see the border of Tibet with a sight of fields encircled by stone walls plus herds of yaks. Moreover, you can observe the upper part of the valley holding snow ridges across angry torrents, high passes wrapped in mist small lakes of crystal bright and glaciated peaks. And, climbers also get pleasure from rich Himalayan wildlife and very charming natural beauty. Ascending further up in the valley, you will arrive at Kyanjing Gomba, which is positioned at an altitude of 3798m. This is also the final area where hotels, guest-houses, lodges are available to spend overnight ahead from here, we need to set camps. Kyanjing Gomba bestows splendid views of the adjoining peaks- Kyanging-Ri peak, Langtang II, Kimshung peak, Langtang Lirung, Yansa Tsenji peak, Tserko-Ri peak, Yala Peak and several other beautiful peaks.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Meeting upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, transfers to hotel

Soon after we land at Kathmandu Airport, we meet our Nepali representatives who will clarify us about the tour. After the short description by our representatives, we are sent to our Hotels where we will be staying overnight.

 

Day 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu, overnight at hotel

Today you travel around Kathmandu valley which comprises visit around historical and saintly attractions; including Durbar Square, Boudhanath; one of the major stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath; top on the hill in the city knows as the Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath; Hindus holy place. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Drives to Syabru Bensi, overnight at guesthouse.

Early in the morning, we take a local bus or a private four wheeler jeep from Kathmandu to reach Shyabri Besi which is the gateway to Langtang valley, meeting Bhote Kosi and Langtang River. Passing through Trishuli Bazaar, Dhunche Bazaar and Ramche Gaon, makes our drive the most mesmerizing scenic drive ever. Though, the road is narrow and crooked, we can view an amazing landscape along the way.

Day 04 : Trek to Lama Hotel, overnight at guesthouse.

It takes about 6 hours to get to Lama Hotel (2470m.) via Briddim. When walking all the way through Briddim village, we can observe the local way of life and culture and we can also meet with the locals. After that you will reach Lama Hotel is situated on the banks of Langtang River and bordered by blossoming forests and mountains.

Day 05 : Trek to Langtang village, overnight at guesthouse

While trekking from Lama Hotel to Langtang (3430m.) for around 5 hours we will be hallucinated by the striking views of the Langtang range on the way. You can also explore and make observation of Tibetan community.

Day 06 : Trek to Kyanjin Gompa, overnight at guesthouse.

Travelling for about 3 hours from Langtang village we arrive at Kyangjin (3870m.). Here, we can witness the glaciated valley of Kyangjin on the shoulder of Langtang Lirung and wrapped by snowy peaks which is one of the world’s nearest settlements at glacier. You can find different wild Himalayan flowers if you will visit during spring and monsoon. Overnight at guest house.

Day 07 : Acclimatization at Kyanjin Gompa, overnight at guesthouse.

We have a day rest at Kyanging Gompa for getting properly acclimatize with the environment. From this point we will witness the beautiful views of Mt. Ganchempo and Langtang Himal. Overnight at guest house.

Day 08 : Trek to Langsisa Kharka, overnight at tented camp.

After walking around 5 hours, up we reach Langsisa Kharka veiled valley of the area from where picturesque views of the Langsisa Himal, Bhairab Takura, Langtang Ri, Dorje Lakpa, Lirung Glacier, Yala, and several other beautiful peaks can be seen. Overnight at tent.

Day 09 : Trek to Langsisa Base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

We will today trek from Langsisa Kharka to reach Langsisa base camp. Our peak climbing guide will let you know how to fixed the rope, how to climb, how to descend etc. After learning the techniques we will walk for approximately 5-6 hours to reach our destination today. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 10 : Ascent to Langsisa High Camp, overnight at tented camp.

On this day we will ascend from Base Camp to Langsisa high camp. And, approximately we will be walking 4-5 hours. As soon as we reach at the High Camp, we will set our tent to stay overnight.

Day 11 : Summit Langsisa RI and back to Base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Today, early in the morning, our peak climbing guide will assist us to reach to the peak of Langsisa Ri (6427m.) which is the most significant part of our trek. And, then we will get back to Langsisa Ri peak base camp. Today, we will walk approximately for 6-7 hours Overnight at tented Camp again.

Day 12 : Trek to Kyanjin Gompa, overnight at guesthouse.

Trekking foe about three hours today from Langtang Base Camp we will reach at Kyangjin (3870m.). Here, we can perceive the glaciated valley of Kyangjin set on the lap of Langtang Lirung and wrapped by snowy mountains which is considered to be world's nearest settlements at glacier. You can find diverse wild Himalayan flowers as well if the season you are visiting is spring or monsoon.

Day 13 : Trek to Lama Hotel, overnight at guesthouse.

Today we will walk for about six hours setting off from Kyangjin to reach Lama Hotel (2470m.) From Kyangjin you retrace back over the route, following the Langtang Khola then to Langtang village. After lunch you keep on walking vertically down to Lama Hotel. Overnight at guest house.

Day 14 : Trek to Syabru Gaon, overnight at guesthouse.

From Lama Hotel, we will walk for about five hours to get to Syabrubesi. The lane is open and we will walk through the diverse Sherpa and Tamang villages. The first half part of the path moves slowly down and then the track now abruptly decline to the Syabru Besi (1600m.). The major populace here is Tamang and they have adopted Tibetan lifestyle. Overnight at guest house in Syabru Gaon.

Day 15 : Trek to Sing Gompa, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 16 : Trek to Dhunche, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 17 : Drive back to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

Today we will move back to Kathmandu and then to the hotel. Rest of the day we can lighten up.

Day 18 : Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

Today is our rest day in Kathmandu. It is up to us finalize; either we stay at the hotel and loosen up or go out by yourself and do shopping or similar.

Day 19 : Transfer to airport, departure onward destination.

After all the procedures at the airport, we will be departed to our respective destination.
