The Sikkim is known as its tradition and its charm: a good state with rich green tropical forests, brilliant birds and butterflies, an amazing variety of orchids, rhododendrons and wild flowers. Rushing tumbling streams and torrents; and endless vistas of snow-crowned peaks. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, 1600 metres above the sea level is a town which cascades down the mountain side from a ridge 1520 mts. high. Gangtok means the lovely Hill, which has grown into a busy, bustling city with pagoda style houses, painted turquoise roofs and colorful people. Famous for its Royal Chapel, The Institute of Tibetology, Orchid Sanctuary, Gangtok is more popularly known for Rhumtek Monastery, an exact replica of the monastery of Chhofuk in Tibet.
Darjeeling is one of the most beautiful states which have some very fascinating places of interest. The garden that contain collection of Himalayan plants, flower, and many species too. | Itinerary |
Day 01 : On arrival at Bagdogra Airport (400Ft / 122Mts), you will be met by our local representative who will assist you to board your vehicle to Martam (5500 Ft / 1677 Mts, 135 Kms / 4-5 Hrs). Overnight at Hotel. |
Day 02 : After breakfast go out for sightseeing covering Rumtek Monastery, Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday), Flower Show & Enchey Monastery. |
Day 03 : Transfer to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts, 115 kms / 4-5 hrs). Evening free to explore the town. Overnight at Hotel. |
Day 04 : Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center & Tea Estate. Overnight at Hotel. |
Day 05 : Transfer Bagdogra Airport (100 Kms/ 3-4 Hrs) for your onward connection |
