Mt. Stok Kangri Expedition (6153 m)

  • Mt. Stok Kangri Expedition (6153 m)

Overview

Leh is capital of Ladakh. Mount Stok Kangri is one of the main peaks of the Zanskar series, situated in the enchanting region of Ladakh. One can see the prominent shapely peak of Stok Kangri to the southern skyline after flying to Leh. Towering of Stok Kangri is both challenging and intersting. Climbing Stok Kangri is not so technical and in season does not require any advanced mountaineering equipment. The peak is better suited for those who are experiencing mountains first time. Top of the peak provides the amazing views of the Karakoram Range, and on a clear day views of Mont. K2 in the far distance.

The peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks in the Indian Himalayas. Its proximity to Leh makes it very accesible.
